Jewellen Capwell and Renee Nightingale are best friends that are total opposites, although both have iconic ideas of the ‘perfect man.’ Jewel tends to be more idealistic and bougie than Renee and can’t begin to comprehend that good and intelligent men can come from the wrong side of the track. Coerced into attending a South Side basketball game, she’s hypnotized by Roman Montgomery, a single father with baby mama drama but a promising career as an entrepreneur.
Renee finds herself caught up in Gregory Samson all the while trying to ensure that she’s the spider spinning the web. Gregory grew up with financial security and advantages and fits into Renee’s mold of a man that can provide designer labels, picture perfect career, financial security and is hopelessly in love with her in all of her temperamental stages.
Heard It All Before by Michele Grant entails relationships, misconceptions, prejudice, and awareness of life, love, and affairs true to the heart! The story was well written, but with no heart-stopping scenes...just a nice uneventful ride. One thing in particular that I did enjoy was the narration of the storyline from both male and female points of view. All plots were completed and the story had a conclusive ending.
