Parrish Clovis is a movie mogul who's married to Hungarian Emmy-nominated actress Hana Kaffka, and he’s discovering numerous things about himself as well as those around him. We’re introduced to Parrish as he awakes naked in his neighbor’s backyard without a clue to how he ended up there. The deeper you delve into this storyline, the stranger the plot becomes as Parrish finds himself being carted off to jail for violently beating his wife. Diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder, Parrish and his sister, Tuesday, attempt to make heads out of tails as she also deals with her drug addiction.
Duplicity by Oasis reads like a maze or a puzzle with many scattered pieces that prove to be more confusing than intriguing. The beginning of the storyline had promise, but the numerous subplots and characters became confusing as well as annoying, and the storyline lost its momentum. I found myself trying to decipher fact from fiction. I was as baffled as Parrish in too many of the scenarios and found myself having difficulty finishing this read.
