Lenora Stone is one paycheck away from financial ruin. With mounting bills and working at a job that she no longer can stand, she decides to play the lottery. Lenora’s life is forever changed when she learns that she’s the actual winner of the lottery. But Lenora soon learns that with more money comes more problems as she suspects her friends and boyfriend are now treating her differently. Things become even more complicated when she meets a sexy landscaper named Ray who’s giving her more attention than her boyfriend Gerald. Is Lenora’s new found wealth giving her more than she bargained for?

Connie Briscoe shows how much a person’s life can change as a result of instant wealth with Money Can’t Buy Love. There have been countless real life stories about how lottery winners get really clueless about their finances once they get their winnings. But Lenora’s clueless behavior is just way too much in this story. The character development wasn’t as strong in this book as in Briscoe’s previous novels. This book seems like it was too rushed, and it felt as if something was missing from the entire story. Money Can’t Buy Love was an average read at best.
