3.5 out of 5 books

Welcome to Memphis...the dirty South...where one wrong move can leave you six feet under. With names like Lucifer, Python, Fat Ace, and Smokestack, I knew Street Divas would be a wild ride. Loyalty and Love is a deadly mix when and rival games are involved. When you have the Lady Queen G’s, Black Gangster Disciples, Flowers, Vice-Lords, Cripettes and Crips, things can turn deadly when Love crosses the path and overrules the laws of the gang life.

This was not the first book I read of De’Nesha Diamond, so I couldn’t wait to dive into this book. If you want gritty, down and dirty, and raw, Street Divas is the book for you. This book went much deeper than the gang life though. It started from the very beginning and showed how childhood trauma, abuse, and neglect shaped these individuals to who they later became. At the end of all the madness, Street Divas showed that they were family. But at the same time, family can stab you in the back and even cause deadly repercussions to the ones they love.
