NEW REVIEW : Single Girl Summer by Deanna Kimberly Burrell

5 out of 5 books

I had fun in the first chapter learning about Button and Henry and their relationship as well as the rest of the characters. None will leave as much of an impression on readers as Dawn Martin and not to be forgotten is Meghan Cherry.  After an afternoon of sharing a meal, the friendship of this threesome begins as does the journey we get to witness.
Single Girl Summer is about embracing life. Button, Dawn and Meghan know a little something about life and living it. Each one tells her story and how she comes to the relationship status she currently finds herself in. But what’s so clever is how the author gives each character something that the other one needs; it’s what makes them all beneficiaries of a grand friendship. We will go through things in this life, but it just seems a little bit easier when you have friendships like Button, Dawn and Meghan.
Excellent read which reminds me of a modern day Steel Magnolias or Waiting to Exhale.
